Hi, my name is Monica
I'm Swiss, and travel has been a passion of mine since the age of eighteen. Over the years I started to travel by myself.
If you wait for others, you often end up not going anywhere.
Life tends to get in the way; passions and timing are rarely aligned. Traveling solo has not always been easy, but then again, traveling in company isn't always easy either. In time I've come to appreciate all that solo travel brings with it:
- You work a bit harder at connecting with others
- You learn to depend on yourself
- You learn to appreciate your own company
- You learn to sit with your frustrations and your accomplishments
- You realize you are way more capable than you think
- You observe, learn, and become a different version of yourself
Six continents, forty-eight countries and five languages later, as I write this course I am 58 years old, and travel still offers me life lessons every time.
This project was conceived in January 2026. It's been a wonderful, at times difficult process, and I'm delighted to finally share my experience and knowledge with you.
